Boma Disney World Restaurant Review
Boma Disney World Review:

Personal Review of the Boma Restaurant at Disney World
Boma serves both breakfast and dinner.  The atmosphere is warm, open and airy with well-laid out serving tables. This helps to ensure less lineups and crowding.

The Animal Kingdom lodge is fairly far away from other resorts and theme parks. And there is only one other (higher end) restaurant (Jiko) as well as one counter service restaurant (The Mara) to eat here.

Because of this, Boma is usually very crowded and in high demand. So it's recommended that you make reservations for both breakfast and dinner.

If you're on the dining plan, Boma counts as 1 table service meal per person.

Our Experience:

We've been to this restaurant several times for both breakfast and dinner.  The service is quite good. The last time we went for breakfast we had a reservation for 10:30 but arrived 45 minutes early due to an overly fast bus service (no complaints there).

This was no problem - we were seated within 5 minutes. We were greeted by the seating attendant and 'welcomed back'.

Our server was polite, fast and always on hand to whisk away any empty plates. I also liked the fact that she knew our names (from the reservations) which is a nice personalized touch.

The food itself is excellent - one of the best breakfasts at Disney World and definitely one of the best buffets overall.

They have a large variety of food including some familiar dishes like made-to-order omelettes, waffles, pancakes, muffins, danishes, french toast, fruit and yogurt.

There are also several not-so-familiar dishes like quinoa, cured pork loin, Bobotie (corn beef, eggs, cream, potato and onion), African style pastries and more.

The dinner buffet menu is also excellent, again with some familiar dishes like prime rib, roast chicken, salads, mac and cheese, along with some exotic new ones to try like Couscous Marrakesh, Sweet Potato Pancakes, Potatoes with Afritude, Coconut Curried Chicken Soup and for dessert Zebra Domes and Simba paw prints.

Overall this is a high value buffet restaurant that both adults and kids will love.  If you're looking for one of the best buffets at Disney World - Boma is definitely one to try.

Boma - Flavors of Africa is an African themed buffet restaurant found at the Animal Kingdom Lodge at Disney World.

It is built to resemble an African marketplace where you can watch the food being prepared as you move along the food line.
