A Review of the La Nouba Cirque Du Soleil Show in Orlando
Disclaimer : Privacy : About Us
La Nouba is the Cirque Du Soleil show found at Downtown Disney's West End. It can only be seen in Orlando. It offers something a little different for families going to Disney World and can be a fun night out for both kids and/or adults.

Is it worth your money? It's really up to you , but here's my take on La Nouba.

First of all, I'm not a show person at all. I'm just not into paying money to see people dress up like animals or masked opera singers and sing on stage. That's just me.
Personally, I'd rather spend money on a good restaurant or new Fendi bag.

However Cirque du Soleil shows are the one exception to this rule.

In my opinion they are more than worth the ticket. They pack so much into their shows that you won't ever see anywhere else, it becomes less of a show and more of an experience.

I've seen almost all of the Cirque shows in Vegas (two favorites are Ka and Le Reve).

So I thought I'd give La Nouba a whirl when visiting Disney World.  For some reason I didn't expect it to be as good as the shows in Vegas. Fortunately I was pleasantly surprised.

Although it's not really fair to compare Cirque shows since each one is individual and unique, I do think that La Nouba is just as good as any Cirque shows I've seen in Vegas - and probably much more appropriate for kids.

La Nouba is more of a true circus themed show than other Cirque shows with high flying acrobats, stunt riders, clowns, tightrope walkers and more.  And it's all done in that unique Cirque style that makes you literally hold your breath, hoping the performer makes it.

Plus there are some absolutely amazing acts thrown in that I guarantee you've never seen before (I don't want to ruin the surprise but let's just say that your kids may want to take up some new hobbies after seeing La Nouba).

As stated above, this Cirque du Soleil Orlando show is very appropriate for children - (unlike some of the Vegas shows) and adults will also appreciate the deeper thematic elements as well (live music and singers, juxtaposition of themes and backdrops, beautiful imagery).

Another thing to know is that even if you buy the cheaper tickets and sit in the seats farther back, you still have a great view.

In fact, for some of the acts (like the trapeze and tight rope walking which are very high up), it might actually be better to sit farther back since you won't be straining your neck to look straight up as those closer to the stage do.

Overall, if you're looking for a completely different experience - one that both adults and children will love - La Nouba is an amazing show and more than worth the price of a ticket in my view.

La Nouba Tip:  Get there at least 15 minutes before the show to see the pre-show.

Tip: For a more relaxing night, make reservations at a Downtown Disney restaurant close to the theatre like Wolfgang Puck's, Raglan Road Irish Pub or Bongo's Cuban Cafe

Tip: If you're going to La Nouba from a Disney resort, take the bus to Downtown Disney and get off at the West End which is usually the second or third stop at Downtown Disney.

The theatre is right beside the bus stop and you won't have to walk as far.
