Hollywood and Vine Disney Review

Hollywood and Vine offers a buffet dinner and a character breakfast and lunch.

In fairly busy times, you'll need a reservation to get in - it's very popular and very busy, mainly because of the buffet - something for everyone on the menu.

Atmosphere:

The atmosphere is ok - it feels kind of like a diner, not upscale but still fun for the kids. The buffet is well laid out - with 2 sides of the same food which probably helps to reduce lines.

There's a separate dessert table, again with similar items on both sides so the lineups are reduced.

Service:

We had reservations and despite showing up 15 minutes early, we still had to wait around 20 minutes to get in. However this wasn't too bad considering how popular this restaurant is - plus there's seats right outside the restaurant to wait.

Once we got in, our waitress was pretty fast. She was very polite and even refilled our drinks without our asking.

Food:

This is actually a decent buffet, considering a lot of the standard park fare is burgers, pizza and fries.

There's a salad station with several different types of salads and fruits including cold pasta salads and potato salad. Then there's a variety of hot dishes like pasta, meatballs, chicken, roast beef, mac and cheese and chicken nuggets for the kids.

Highlights for me were the fresh salad, meatballs, mac and cheese. The desserts - while not plentiful - were excellent. Highlights were the carrot cake, apple crumble, and chocolate mousse.

Overall, this is not a high end buffet by any means - but the food is good, mainly comfort food.

The atmosphere is alright and service is also quite good if not a bit rushed. And for a character meal in Hollywood studios, it's very popular with kids who love both the fare and excitement of the place.
