Le Cellier is one of the more popular restaurants at Epcot - not surprising since it offers incredible value for only one table service credit on the dining plan.
They serve both lunch and dinner - with pretty much the same menu for either. So if you can't get in for dinner, you can try the same menu for lunch.
Atmosphere:
The atmosphere is excellent at Le Cellier - great for a romantic dinner for two. The decor was inspired by the castle wine cellars of the grandest of Canadian chateaus: Frontenac and Laurier.
Wine bottles are on display at various areas throughout the restaurant. And the stone archways and dark wood furnishings give a very warm feel.
When we were there, there weren't a lot of children around. However, even with the few that were there, the restaurant still seemed much quieter than a lot of other Disney restaurants.
Service:
We had a lunch reservation for exactly when the restaurant opened and after singing their national anthem, we were seated within two minutes.
Table service was quite good. Our server was polite and very prompt and explained menu items well. She was also honest when I asked about a certain dish and she said there were better ones on the menu.
Food:
Popular dishes at Le Cellier include the cheddar cheese soup, Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon and the Seared King Salmon. Desserts are also quite good including the Chocolate-on-Chocolate Whiskey Cake and Maple Creme Brulee.
We started off with the standard bread basket - but this one had a stick of pretzel bread which was really good. It is definitely different from the standard bread baskets you get at most restaurants.
We also tried the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon and the Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich. They were both excellent however the top prize would definitely go to the Filet Mignon. I noticed that most people around us were also having it.
We also tried the cheesecake (good) and the Chocolate-on-Chocolate Whiskey Cake (REALLY good - not too strong either).
Overall, Le Cellier is one of my favorite restaurants at Epcot: romantic, excellent atmosphere, great service, excellent value and delicious food.
The people at the table next to us told us they'd actually canceled a reservation at the Maya Grill to come to Le Cellier a second time because they loved it so much. If you're looking for one of the top restaurants at Epcot, Le Cellier is it.
