The Main Street Bakery is found at the Magic Kingdom on Main Street USA when you first enter the park.
You walk up Main Street towards Cinderella's castle and you'll see (or smell) the Bakery on your right. It serves a variety of food including drinks, coffee, milk, yogurt, sandwiches, fruit, cookies and a wide variety of pastries like muffins, cupcakes, turnovers, and cinnamon buns.
Another favorite is the cookie ice cream sandwich - which they make right before your eyes, with a tons of ice cream mashed between two extra large cookies.
If you're on the dining plan, the Main Street Bakery is mainly a quick service/snack restaurant. However, there is often much confusion among cashiers of what exactly constitutes one quick service meal.
So if you want to save yourself the hassle at the cash, ask the cash server before you order what they think constitutes a quick service meal and what constitutes a snack.
First the good: The food here is absolutely a-ma-zing. The cinnamon buns are huge, warm and basically to die for - and you can get them by using a snack service on your dining plan.
You can also usually get 2 cinnamon buns plus a yogurt and a drink for the price of 1 quick service meal - which is a great value. Two people can easily eat breakfast this way - by using only 1 quick service meal.
The restaurant atmosphere is bright with lots of tables and mirrored walls. Plus it looks out onto Main Street so it's close to both the beginning of the park and the exit.
You can often see parades or performers go by if you catch it at the right time. Because of the central location however, it's also often crowded.
Now the bad: Service is average to terrible. Cashiers get confused about what to count on a dining plan.
Lineups move slowly as the layout can be confusing and you can't actually see what they offer until you actually reach the counter. This means people take a long time to decide what they want since they can't see what's available while waiting in line.
Plus, on a personal note, the last time I went there I was told to wait just "3 minutes" for a fresh batch of cinnamon buns. I was pushed to the side and actually waited more like 15 minutes.
I even heard the manager say to my server "She should not have to wait this long, it's ridiculous". When I finally got my cinnamon buns, it was without an apology or even an offer to give me a discount.
They're lucky that I'm a cinnamon bun junkie or else this would be a very bad review indeed.

The Main Street Bakery is one of my favorite places in all of Disney World. Sure it's not big and flashy like some of the sit-down restaurants at Disney.
But if you want to try some of the best pastries and hands-down the best cinnamon buns in all of Florida, this is the place to go.
(And coming from a Cinnabon fan, this is not said lightly.)
