Disney Pop Century Resort:

A Review of the Disney Pop Century Hotel
Pop Century Resort Tip:

Because of the limited dining options, if you plan to eat at the food court, go at off hours to avoid the crowds.

You might also want to rent a car so you can go out and eat.

The Disney Pop Century is one of Disney's Value resorts.  This is a fun, bright resort with a variety of pools, affordable rooms, an arcade and a large food court.

Each building at the resort is like a time capsule themed around a different decade from the 1950s to the 1990s. There are bright icons of each decade including a huge Big Wheel, Mr and Mrs Potato heads and Hula Hoops.

There is a large lake with a path for joggers that you won't find at other Value resorts. There's also a playground with a Goofy water feature.

Is the Pop Century resort the right place for you? Here's a quick review to help you decide.

Theme: Pop Culture Icons of American Life from the 1950s to the 1990s

Room Notes:  Rooms are very small with very little space for storage (plan to live out of your suitcase). Bathrooms are also quite cramped.

Also, many customer reviews have complained that rooms can be noisy.

Dining Options:  As with all Value resorts, your dining options are very limited. There is the Everything Pop Shopping and Dining food court where you can get sandwiches, salads, pizza, pasta, burgers, pastries and muffins.

If you're on the dining plan, you can use your quick service credits here.  There's also pizza delivery available.

Transportation: Transportation is limited to bus services, which can be quite crowded if you go at regular hours.

- Bus Service to all Theme parks, water parks and Downtown Disney

Recreation:

- 3 pools - including Computer Pool, the '60s-themed Hippy Dippy Pool and the Bowling Pool
- Child pool
- Goofy Pop jet water fountain
- Arcade
- Playground

Strengths:

- Very affordable if you're on a budget
- Newest Disney Value resort
- Bright, fun theme that even parents will enjoy

Weaknesses:

- Very small rooms with very little storage space
- Rooms may be noisy
- Limited food selections
- Bus Transportation only
- Buses can be crowded
