Personal Review of the Spoodles Restaurant at Disney World
Spoodles gets a lot of great reviews from users and experts in Disney guide books.  Spoodles bills itself as a Mediterranean style restaurant serving 'Cuisine of the Sun' which basically means food inspired from places like Greece, Italy, Spain and North Africa.

Spoodles can be found on the Boardwalk at Disney World near Seashore Sweets, the ESPN club, the Boardwalk bakery and the Boardwalk Inn resort. It's also a short walk from the Yacht club, Beach club, Swan and Dolphin resorts.

If you're on the dining plan, a meal there currently counts as 1 table service (sit down) meal per person.

Spoodles is open for both breakfast and dinner. Dinner menu examples are Hummus, Calamari, Wood-grilled Pork Chop, Tuscan-pressed Chicken, Oak-fired Steak Kabobs and Lemon-Garlic Shrimp Linguine.

Breakfast includes most of the regular fare: eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, french toast and pancakes.

Our experience:

We went for dinner and got in fairly easily - making a reservation that morning.  We were seated pretty much right away (although it was a slow season).

Overall the atmosphere is excellent. It's open, warm, lots of light and windows and you can watch the chefs in the back preparing your meal.

We found our server was excellent - happy and polite. She was there quickly when we needed our drinks refilled and did not pressure or hurry us.

Now, to the food. Unfortunately I can't say I was overly impressed with the food quality.  I had the Crispy Chicken Cutlet and my hubby had the Oak-fired Steak Kabobs.

While the dishes were not horrible, they also weren't exceptionally great either. We both found the food tasted on the bland side.

Then again, we eat a lot of exotic types of food like Thai and African so maybe we just expected too much. If you've never had hummus for example, you might find the hummus here a perfect introduction for your taste buds.

Dessert didn't get much better. I had the cheesecake - which tasted like the standard cheesecake you could get anywhere in the parks. Hubby had the gelato which was, again, only ok.

For a restaurant that is much-hyped, we were disappointed in the food quality.  However everything else: atmosphere, service and availability of seating was excellent.

Atmosphere: 4 Stars
Service: 4 Stars
Food: 2.5 Stars
Overall Value: 3.5 Stars
Spoodles Review Tip: If you are paying for the meal (vs. using the dining plan where your dessert is included) and don't necessarily like the dessert selections, run next door to Seashore Sweets and get a Sundae - excellent value for the money and delicious!
